Course Info
Acumen Care Education has been delivering Safeguarding Individuals training for several years and have a wealth of experience and knowledge, taught by qualified facilitators.
This course has been specifically designed in accordance with the All Wales Induction Framework (AWIF), Qualification Credit Framework (QCF) and Local Policies and Procedures.
Course Content
Understand definitions of safeguarding and abuse
Identify key pieces of Legislation, Policies and Code of Practice for your sector
List the different forms of abuse along with the signs and symptoms of each
Know how to effectively deal with disclosures
Understand how to complete records and reports
Identify serious failures of Safeguarding
Understand how to keep yourself and others safe from harm
Course Duration
This course is delivered over 3 hours (half day).
Training Materials
Learners will be provided with a workbook at the start of the training session and will be required to complete the workbook.
