Course Info

Acumen Care Education has been delivering First Aid training for several years and undergo rigorous monitoring as part of our quality assurance process. We have highly qualified facilitators with over 30 years of First Aid experience and continue to deliver our sessions to an exceptional standard.

We aim to meet the needs and requirements of all learners who attend this course by carrying out effective and informative group activities and discussions.

· Responsibilities of the First Aider

· Assessing an incident

· Scene Survey

· Primary Survey

· Casualty Communication

· Principles of Resuscitation

· The respiratory system

· CPR

· Adult Basic Life Support

· Compression only CPR

Learning Aims

By the end of the course, you will:

Understand your role and responsibility

Know how to perform CPR, Recovery Position, and Choking techniques

Course Duration

This course is delivered over 3 hours.. Learners will be provided with refreshments during the course.

Training Materials

Learners will be provided with a course handbook at the start of the training that will support the delivery and implementation of all theory and practical work. Learners will be required to complete a workbook throughout the session, this will be marked and verified by the Quality Assurance Team.
